“Encontré algo, es un portal” es una pieza performática codirigida por Marycielo Rodríguez (*Gotoxyc) y Rod Ugalde De Haene que explora el concepto de los espejos como umbrales hacia otros mundos. Presentada el pasado sábado 4 de abril en Monterrey, Nuevo León, la acción formó parte del evento de lanzamiento del cortometraje y fanzine homónimos. Esta entrega interdisciplinaria contó con la ambientación sonora en vivo de Rodrigo Zárate y el registro visual de Thom Díaz.&#38;nbsp;
"Encontré algo, es un portal" (I found something, it's a portal) is a performance piece co-directed by Marycielo Rodríguez (*Gotoxyc) and Rod Ugalde De Haene that explores the concept of mirrors as thresholds to other worlds. Presented last Saturday, April 4th, in Monterrey, Nuevo León, the performance was part of the launch event for the short film and fanzine of the same name. This interdisciplinary showcase featured a live soundscape by Rodrigo Zárate and visual documentation by Thom Díaz.


“El lugar donde los sueños se tocan” es un performance codirigido y musicalizado por Marycielo Rodríguez (*Gotoxyc) y Rod Ugalde De Haene. La pieza plantea una profunda reflexión en torno a los umbrales de los sueños y el uso de las máscaras. Se presentó el pasado 28 de abril de 2026 en el Centro Cultural Ollin Yoliztli, como parte de las actividades y festejos del 19° Encuentro Plural de Danza del INBAL.
"El lugar donde los sueños se tocan" (The place where dreams touch) is a performance piece co-directed and scored by Marycielo Rodríguez (*Gotoxyc) and Rod Ugalde De Haene. The piece offers a profound reflection on the thresholds of dreams and the use of masks. It was presented on April 28th, 2026, at the Centro Cultural Ollin Yoliztli as part of the activities and celebrations of INBAL's 19th Encuentro Plural de Danza.


“Bailar para que no te peguen tanto” (“Dance so they don’t hit you harder”) es una pieza performática dirigida por Rod Ugalde De Haene que utiliza la intimidad del formato cinematográfico en 8mm para proyectar un ritual transformador, trasladando la experiencia de los golpes físicos hacia un plano de resistencia artística. Presentada el 14 de octubre en la Ciudad de México, esta acción formó parte de la obra homónima comisionada por el Museo de Arte Contemporáneo de Querétaro (MACQ) para la exposición colectiva “Round de Sombra”. La presentación contó con la participación escénica de Marycielo Rodríguez (*Gotoxyc), Árbol Vencido y la presencia de Diego Ugalde De Haene, todo bajo la atmósfera sonora y musicalización de Heraldos Negros.

	Tras cruzar el cosmos, una conciencia alógena llega a una Tierra sin humanos pero desbordante de vida vegetal y mineral. Incapaces de procesar este entorno desde sus métricas de origen, los viajeros abandonan su forma de vapor para asumir la fragilidad biológica humana.
 &#38;nbsp;&#38;nbsp; After crossing the cosmos, an alien consciousness arrives on an Earth devoid of humans but overflowing with plant and mineral life. Unable to process this environment through their original metrics, the travelers abandon their vapor form to assume human biological fragility.&#38;nbsp;

	“Bailar para que no te peguen tanto” es un acontecimiento corporal y performático en donde una visión cercana a la metamorfosis transfigura nuestra persepción y la muta en un plano artístico en donde múltiples disciplinas -la performance, la poesía, la danza butoh, el sonido y el film- se conjuntan para reflexionar sobre los golpes, la violencia y la danza.&#38;nbsp;


“Dance so they don’t hit you harder” is a bodily and performative event in which a vision close to metamorphosis transfigures our perception and shifts it onto an artistic plane where multiple disciplines —performance, poetry, butoh dance, sound, and film— come together to reflect on blows, violence, and dance.

	Un grupo de cuerpos se mueve y desplaza en un espacio sagrado, habitado por la presencia de una deidad ancestral. A través del movimiento, los intérpretes realizan un acto ritual de solicitud y apertura, buscando permiso para transitar y explorar territorios que no les 
pertenecen del todo. 

&#38;nbsp;A group of bodies move through a sacred space inhabited by an ancestral deity. Through their gestures, the performers engage in a ritual act of asking permission, seeking to explore territories that are not entirely their own.
